Dr. Arnold Tanis Receives Arnold Melnick Child Advocacy Award

Dr. Tanis is a board certified pediatrician with Pediatric Associates. He served as president of the Florida Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics and the Broward County Pediatric Society. He is also director of the Joe DiMaggio annual Pediatric Symposium. La Leche League recognized him for his support and service to the organization.
Dr. Tanis received both the John H. Whitcomb Outstanding Florida Pediatrician Award from the Florida Pediatric Society and the Spirit of Healing Award from the Memorial Foundaton and the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation.
The Arnold Melnick Child Advocacy award was established by NSUCOM Pediatric Club to recognize individuals in South Florida that promote children’s causes and was named after the founding dean of NSU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine.
