Dr. Lindsay Rosenwald: A Leading Contributor In The Finance And Medical Fields
The finance and medical industries have a lot to thank Dr. Lindsay Rosenwald for. If it weren’t for this man, the revolutionary combination of the two industries might not have worked out pretty well. Other than that, the medical breakthroughs for several conditions may not have been discovered without him. To some, these may be exaggerations but in some sense, these are true. This is because Dr. Rosenwald successfully paved the way for the biotechnology industry to rise with the help of commercialization and financing.
During his college days at the Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Lindsay Rosenwald majored in Finance and graduated with Beta Gamma Sigma honors. Although he already excelled in economics and financing, he still decided to pursue a medical degree. By 1983, he achieved his M.D. from the Temple University School of Medicine. Afterwards, he interned at the Abington Medical Hospital and eventually started practicing in private. After accumulating enough experience, he moved into Wall Street which has been his strongest desire. There, he started working as a securities analyst in Ladenburg for a year before moving into D.H. Blair and Company.
At D.H. Blair and Company, Dr. Lindsay Rosenwald became the managing director of corporate finance. During that time, he continued showing his interest with the medical field by finding and underwriting promising biotechnology companies. At that time, some of his clients and investors were his patients before. This is why he became recognized as a health and finances doctor as well.
From that time on, Dr. Lindsay Rosenwald continued promoting biotechnology and biomedical development through financing. He was able to help many companies start-up and he was also able to encourage the development of modern treatments. Other than that, he had also used his experiences to aid others with corporate development. He does this by creating business plans and strategies for his clients.
Until today, Dr. Rosenwald is continuously promoting the combination of the finance and medical sectors. This is because he believes that this is the way to make people’s lives better. His current venture is a biotechnology company called OpusPoint Partners which he co-founded with Michael Weiss.
