Embassy Suites Denver-Downtown/Convention Center Finds Denver’s Biggest Fan
Denver (Vocus) December 24, 2010
Jayne Tegethof has been named Denver’s Biggest Fan in a contest to celebrate the opening of the Embassy Suites Denver-Downtown/Convention Center.
The hotel, located directly across from the Colorado Convention Center, opened Dec. 16 with an official ribbon cutting to benefit Toys for Tots. Helping to cut the ribbon were the General Manager Robert Kisabeth, Director of Sales Judy Esterbrook, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, Downtown Denver Partnership CEO Tami Door and Visit Denver CEO Richard Scharf. Employees also donated 403 toys — one per guest suite — to Toys for Tots. Matching its employees’ generosity the hotel donated $ 2,500 to the program aimed at making the holidays brighter for Denver’s youth.
As Denver’s Biggest Fan, Tegethof won a free Denver vacation, including two nights stay at downtown’s newest hotel, airfare, transportation, an iPad and a complimentary lunch and dinner at the hotel.
She was randomly selected from entrants who “liked” the hotel on Facebook or followed it on Twitter (search for Embassy Suites Denver-Downtown/Convention Center) and then commented on the blog at denvertravelers.com including a guess when the hotel would officially open. It took three simple steps: Like/follow, comment and guess!
But the contest continues! Every time the Embassy Suites Denver-Downtown/Convention Center reaches another increment of 250 Facebook and Twitter followers, they’ll give away one free night’s stay at the hotel.
Elizabeth Caswell Dyer was randomly selected to win a free night’s stay for the latest increment of 250 Facebook and Twitter followers. Once the Embassy Suites Denver-Downtown/Convention Center community grows by another 250, another winner will be named in the hotel giveaway.
The Embassy Suites Denver-Downtown/Convention Center has 403 guest suites and 14 meeting rooms, totaling more than 23,500 square feet of meeting and banquet space just steps away from the Colorado Convention Center. The property features Embassy Suites’ signature flowing water feature and rich organic Atrium accompanied by a soaring 13-story glass “Sky Curtain” allowing in abundant natural light. The hotel amenities include Elements, a full-service, casual dining restaurant, and plans for an additional leased restaurant, retail space, a state-of-the-art fitness facility, spa, indoor pool, business center and full valet service with onsite parking. The hotel is planned to be a LEED-certified building. It is managed by Windsor Management Services, the hotel management company of Windsor Capital Group.
